Lab Exercise

The speech given by the son of Aung San Suu Kyi, was the most inposational to me and the speech itself was a great story. During the time of the speech, Aung San Suu Kyi was under house arrest, so her son gave the acceptance speech for the noble prize on her behalf. Aung San Suu Kyi has many notable achievements, that should be used as a guideline for people to follow. Similar to Martin luther king, she practiced non-violent actions, and helped lead her political party to fight off oppression in Burma. She lived her life by honoring her thinking of "to live the full life, one must have to courage to bear the responsibility of the needs of others, one must want to bear this responsibility".

The situation in Ukraine, is a situation that I feel as if the United States isn't taking into enough consideration. Currently, Russia has taken over the eastern part of Ukraine, crimea and has established crimea to be apart of Russia. But is Russia going to stop there? Many people believe they will, but with Obamas previous foreign policy enforcement, I don't see Russia stoping and not moving out more westward, which is scary because that could result in a world war three. As of right now, the United States isn't in any way able to get involved into another war, we are too weak.

  1. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is concerning to people even in the U.S. It shows how important foreign policy is, when maintaining the safey of the American people.
