Global Awareness Exercise

I think the speech of Aung San Suu Kyi, The Revolution of Spirit means the most to me.  I really like her and how she did that support the human right in Myanmar.  She didn't went to the Norway accepted her award because the circumstance did not let her to be in Norway.  Her son represent Aung San Suu Kyi and he gave the speech to the audiences and he express her thoughts.  I think Aung San Suu Kyi is the most brave woman in the world.  She fighting for the people lived in Burma and her nonviolence struggle for democracy.  She supported many people throughout out the whorl who are striving to attain democracy, human rights, and ethnic conciliation by peaceful means.  She was under house arrest for so many years because she fighting against the Norway's government.  When she win the Nobel Peace Price and she was still arrest.  I like how he tell his son that she think "  the prize belongs not her but to all those men, women and children who, even as I speak, continue to sacratic their feel being, their freedom and their lives in pursuit of a democratic Burma".  I think she did a lot of good things that help people got their rights.  In her son's speech, I see how she respect the people who died because they against the government.  In her story, I can see a lady gives up her everything such as her husband, son, and better life.  She just want help people and she want do the things that she think is right even she will be died.

I think there are still many country struggle for their human rights.  I do believe what happen in North Korea is very strange and the people have gets their right to see the outside world.  I know that most people think communism is bad and the human don't have their own right.  A lot of country already be democracy country.  I think there are some difference between China and North Koreas even China is a communist country.  When I lived in China, The General Secretary of the Communist of China never told us do things that we don't like to do.  They give us human rights and they do support the poors, nonviolence, and others issues.  I saw a video about a lady that escape from North Korea, she tells the audience how Kim Jong Un make them believe what they should believe.  After she escape, she think the world is different than what Kim Jong Un told them.  Overall, I think people can not against Communist because the Communist means the common ownership that people don't have their choice.  There are many great leaders do good things even they are communism.  I think a great presidents or leader will change the world a lot!

  1. Yes, I agree with you that Aung San Suu Kyi is a brave lady. Her endurance against dictatorship and steadfastness to her principles has brought comparisons to Nelson Mandela. Her life has also been one of personal sacrifice.
