The dangerous Water bottle

Who thought that buying a plastic water bottle could casue any harm? I know I didnt think that something so simple could be not only bad for my body,my wallet, and the enviorment! Lets start off with how consuming water from a plastic water bottle is bad for your health. The plastic of the bottle contains a chemical called Antimony which in small doses can casue dizziness or depression but when in large does it can cause nasuea even throwing up and in extreme cases death. Now your wallet is another victim in this deadly water bottle problem. The recommindation is about 8 glasses of water a day and when you use tap it costs about 50 cents for a WHOLE year but when you buy plastic water bottles its 1,400 a year... I dont know about you but I think thats insane and that money could be put to better use ... like helping countries who dont have clean tap water get clean tap water! The earth that we live in is the main victim though. The energy we use just to make the plastic bottle could power 190,000 homes. We use 17 million gallons of oil to just make the bottles and that could fuel 1.3 million cars. Maybe if we didnt use so much oil to make a plastic bottle for our convinence gas could be cheaper! San Francisco is already making steps towards a healthier you and earth by banning the sales of plastic water bottle in the city and i think its something we should consider as a whole. Not only that but I think public filtered water spouts could be installed in communities. Sure thats expensive now but like most green movements it pays off in the long run and I would rather live in a clean world then keep making our earth more dangerous to live in

Here are some rescources that i used to research about plastic water bottles

  1. "The energy we use just to make the plastic bottle could power 190,000 homes." It is shocking to me that we consume that much energy to produce plastic bottles that end up polluting our planet.

  2. Water is good for you, so keep drinking it but think about how often you use water bottles, and see if you can make a change
